I'm a librarian with a background in information literacy instruction, metadata, and database design/management. Many of my projects combine one or more of these themes: Nox Core, for example, is an archival metadata project aimed toward the ultimate goal of a functioning database where people can record information about their personal video game consoles.
Before I decided to go into librarianship, I considered pursuing a master's degree in computer science! I have kept up coding as a hobby while pursuing my MLIS degree, and am currently working on archiving more of my code here and on my GitHub.
This website serves as a hub for my projects, as well as a sandbox for me to experiment with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Currently the layout is geared toward function and easy editing, but as I optimize the code behind the scenes, I plan to incorporate more features and visuals, and configure a mobile-friendly layout.
The natterjack toad, also known by its binomial name of Epidalea calamita, is a nocturnal toad native to Western Europe! They are known for the distinctive yellow stripe down their back, as well as their short hind legs, which give them a distinctive running gait rather than the traditional hop of most frogs and toads.
I mean, have you seen these little guys? I think this picture speaks for itself:

Still not convinced? Perhaps a video will convey the natterjack's beauty and elegance more effectively:
